- Orofar Plus Sore Throat Relief Lozenges is intended to dissolve slowly in the mouth and release ingredients to suppress coughs, lubricate, soothe, and cool irritated tissues of the throat. This one is formulated with antibacterial action of key ingredient like chlorhexidine digluconate which kills the bacteria that cause sore throat and mouth infections. Chlorhexidine digluconate is a bisbiguanide antiseptic and disinfectant, which is bactericidal or bacteriostatic against a wide range of gram negative and gram-positive vegetative bacteria, yeasts, dermatophyte fungi and lipophilic viruses. This lozenge with chlorhexidine digluconate is highly effective for the treatment of oral infections and oral cavity inflammation in adult and children from 5 years of age. Administration of chlorhexidine digluconate lozenges has been shown to generate a reduced throat soreness and to provide pain relief and relief from difficulty in swallowing 5 minutes after administration.
