- Manuka Doctor UMF 6+ MGO 110+ Manuka Honey is produced by bees collecting nectar from mainly the Manuka plant (Leptospermum scoparium). The plant is indigenous to New Zealand. Beekeepers set up hives in wild uncultivated areas in which Manuka bushes grow. The aroma of Manuka Honey has been described as earthy and aromatic, whilst the taste is sweet, with notes that can be described as slightly bitter, tangy or herbaceous. Manuka Doctor Honey is 100% pure New Zealand honey and is not blended with honey from other countries. The pollution free non-GMO New Zealand environment ensures that every jar is honey as nature intended. The UMF, MGO number tells you how much MGO is in your jar of honey – the higher the number the higher the grade of activity and concentration of beneficial compounds. With the premium range, the genuine true to label Manuka is of the highest potency and strength. From Hive to Home, it was batch trace and verify the quality and potency. As with all of the Manuka Doctor Manuka honey, it is harvested, tested, certified, and packed in New Zealand. The packing, labeling, testing, and authentic New Zealand Government-defined Manuka regulations have been met. The number on the front of the pot represents the mg per kg of UMF/MGO (Methylglyoxal). Independently tested to show it meets the New Zealand Government's definition of Manuka honey.
