- Fleet Adult Enema is a complete, ready to use enema in a disposable squeeze bottle with soft, prelubricated tip. Each 118 ml (delivered dose) contains 19g monobasic sodium phosphate and 7 g dibasic sodium phosphate. Sodium phosphate is a saline laxative that is thought to work by increasing fluid in the small intestine. Fleet Adult Enema increases bulk volume and water content of the stool, producing evacualtion, usually within 2 to 5 minutes.
