- Eucerin UreaRepair PLUS 5% Urea Lotion With Soothing Scent For 48h Dry & Rough Skin Relief gives very dry, rough body skin the daily care it needs. It contains a unique combination of ingredients - Urea, Ceramide and other Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMFs) - which bind moisture in and repair skin´s natural protective barrier to prevent further moisture loss. The main active ingredient is Urea: the ‘gold standard’ for dry skin treatment. Urea is a humectant (meaning it attracts water to the skin). It also increases the water-binding capacity of the skin and helps to maintain its barrier function. This improves elasticity and protects against moisture loss (known as transepidermal water loss or TEWL). The Eucerin UreaRepair PLUS complex combines Urea with Ceramides, Gluco-Glycerol and other NMF that support Urea’s efficacy. Skin-identical Ceramides forms a protective lipid envelope to protect the outer layers of skin and enhance barrier function, while Gluco-Glycerol improves the distribution of water in deeper epidermal layers thereby hydrating skin from the inside out. This combination of moisturizing and lipid-replenishing ingredients provides excellent support for dry skin. The formula has been clinically and dermatologically proven to deliver immediate relief and intense, long-lasting moisturization, delaying dryness and roughness for up to 48 hours. Skin is intensely moisturized and looks and feels smooth and supple again. The lotion is suitable for mature skin and those with Diabetes, Psoriasis and Keratosis Pilaris.
