- Optimal 0.05% Topical Cream contains Tretinoin which is a retinoic acid which is effective in the treatment of acne vulgaris. It may decrease the number and severity of acne pimples and promote quick healing of pimples that do develop. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks for a therapeutic effect to be noticed and more than 6 weeks for beneficial effects to appear.

- You should normally wash and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of this medicine in the evening and use a sunscreen during the day. Follow your doctor’s instructions.

- It may take several weeks for your symptoms to improve but keep using it regularly to get the most benefit.
- Consult your doctor again if you do not notice any improvement after a few weeks
