- Clear Blue Plus Rapid Detection Pregnancy Test Kit has been designed to offer the easiest pregnancy testing experience, with the accuracy and result as fast as 1 minute. Its revolutionary design came after extensive research with women and even won a Red Dot Design award in 2012. The wider colour change tip makes sampling easier and changes colour from white to pink to let you know you've sampled correctly. If you're testing from the day of your expected period, you can test at any time of the day. If you're testing early, use the first urine of the day. Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test is more than 99% accurate in laboratory tests, when used from the day of your expected period. If you are testing before the day your expected period, the accuracy will be lower. In pregnancy, hCG is produced first by the fertilised egg and later the placenta. A fertilised egg typically implants into the lining of the uterus (womb) 6-8 days before the missed period, when tiny amounts of hCG start to appear in the mother’s blood and urine. Though hCG levels are very low at first, the level rises rapidly and predictably in the first weeks of pregnancy. The earliest you can test with the most sensitive tests currently available is 6 days before your missed period (typically 10 days after ovulation). - When ready to test, remove the pregnancy test stick from the foil wrapper and take off the blue cap. Use the test straightaway.
- Simply hold the absorbent Colour Change Tip pointing downwards in your urine stream or in a sample of your urine, in a clean dry container, for just 5 seconds. The Colour Change Tip will instantly turn pink showing that urine is being absorbed. Continue holding the Colour Change tip in the urine for the full 5 seconds.
- Wait for 3 minutes. As the pregnancy test begins to work, you'll see blue line start to develop which shows that the test has worked.
- If your result is ‘+’, you should see your doctor who can advise you on what steps you should take next.
