- Max Mercury Free Sphygmomanometer is a mercury-free blood pressure monitor with auscultatory measurement and a digital display that is similar in appearance to traditional mercury blood pressure monitor.
- Measures blood pressure accurately
- It Gives an over pressure warning: LCD top will flash when pressure is more than 315mmHg (42kPa)
- Wrap the cuff around your upper arm then place the wide head of the stethoscope on your arm
- Clip the pressure gauge to a stable surface
- Take the rubber bulb and tighten the valve then rapidly pump the bulb to inflate the cuff
- Gently turn the valve on the bulb counter-clockwise
- Note your systolic blood pressure. As the pressure drops, use the stethoscope to listen for a thumping or knocking sound. When you hear the first thump, make a note of the pressure on the gauge. This is your systolic blood pressure.
- Note your diastolic blood pressure. Keep watching the gauge, while using the stethoscope to listen to the thumping noises. Eventually the hard thumping noises will turn into a whooshing sound. It is helpful to note this change, as it indicates that you are close to your diastolic blood pressure.
