- Ego QV Kids Moisturising Cream is a highly concentrated, non-greasy and easy to apply formula that is suitable for dry, sensitive and itchy skin. It also contains vitamins A (retinyl palmitate) and E (tocopheryl acetate) in colourful, skin friendly moisturising beads that dissolve following application to the skin, making it fun to learn good skin care. Featured ingredients includes dimethicone, glycerin and petrolatum. Dimethicone is a silicone that helps to protect the skin by forming a water-repellent barrier against water soluble irritants. Its thick, viscous nature, makes for an excellent barrier on the skin to help prevent chaffing and other forms of skin irritation caused by friction and exposure to water-soluble irritants. This feature of dimethicone to form barrier on skin can help prevent moisture in the skin from evaporating. Another active moisturising ingredient Glycerin, is a humectant, helping to draw and hold water to the skin to maintain hydration. Moisturizing feature of glycerin can produce long-lasting moisturisation on the skin. At high humidity, Glycerin acts as a humectant, while at low humidity it acts as a skin moisturiser and conditioner by inhibiting lipid phase transition. Glycerin has the effect of moisturizing the skin and improves skin texture. It also protects the skin from external stimuli by strengthening its barrier. Additionally petrolatum can bring long lasting rehydration to your dry skin.
